This is what I'm doing instead of making a grocery list.

So I decided that Jed and I don't need food today, instead the world needs a new blog post. Of course my priorities are all messed up so nobody should follow my example. Anyway, I've got more pictures this week, and here they are in no particular order:

We found out that Ryker really likes playing in boxes, just like his older brother. Justys is very creative and can make a box into anything. Ryker is following in Justys' footsteps.

Ryker is not a fan of sleeping with blankets. Even if we make his bed up nicely before nap time, he scoots the blankets out of the way so he doesn't have to bother with getting tangled while he's sleeping.

Justys doesn't like pictures that much so I'm still working on convincing him to be in some. Until then, I guess I'll have to let you know what he's doing in words. He is getting better and better at reading. He was the "super reader" in his classroom at school last month. (That means he read the most books.) Since the weather is nicer he is playing REALLY hard outside everyday. That also means he's sleeping good at night!

Jed is getting busy with work again. He's been working five days a week again. So, as you can see, everyone and everything is getting a little livelier around here.

More soon!

Ryker is six months old!

Hi,
Sorry that I'm not posting pictures today. I know pictures are always more fun than words (and a lot easier to read). I will get some more to put on here soon.

I am writing because Ryker turned six months old on Saturday and he's doing a lot of big kid stuff now. Today he tried cauliflower. I don't know if he liked it a whole lot but he ate it anyway. He is getting around pretty quickly with his army crawl. And today he started pulling himself up on furniture. I was playing peek-a-boo across the table with him and he kept trying to make his neck longer and longer to see me. Eventually he just put his hands on the table and pulled himself to a standing position and laughed at me. I think he thought he outsmarted me. =)
So our next step as parents is to move everything up about three feet.

Another thing Ryker has learned to do is get from crawling position to sitting position all by himself. It is cute until he does it in his crib. He misses his nap time because he sits up and plays instead of getting cuddled up and falling asleep.

Just a quick update. There will be more soon (and pictures too).

This week in Pictures

Here is a quick update:

Here are few more pictures from this week. Ryker had his six month check-up and he's doing fine. He is very tall for his age, maybe he'll get Great Grandpa's height. We got a picture with Ryker's doctor. She takes good care of him!

Here is Ryker fresh out of the bath. He's getting more hair, Jed styled a mo-hawk to prove it.

Today we got Ryker a highchair. He did pretty good for his first time, and it is SO much easier to feed him in a chair instead of on our laps.

More Pictures

I'm not very good about taking pictures, but my mom (Grandma) is, I had to borrow her camera and find things to post. Here you go:

This picture was taken when Ryker was still in the hospital. He has a scratch under his eye from his sharp fingernails.

A picture of the boys in their matching Christmas outfits. Justys has HUGE hands compared to Ryker.

Christmas 2006 Pic.

Ryker is wearing his pants on his head, we are still working on teaching him to dress himself correctly.

Ryker is reading with his aunt Anna.

The Family at my moms house for her traditional Valentines meal. Justys probably could have finished the entire cake by himself if we would have let him.

Well that's all I've got right now. But I promise there will be more to come!

The Beginning

Well, I finally gave in. I decided to join the rest of the world and start a blog. Our family consist
s of three men and a lady. My husband Jed and I have two little guys, Justys, 6, and Ryker, 6 months.
They are awesome kids!

Justys is in first grade and he's missing his two front teeth. He enjoys his time outside. He would never go to school if he didn't have to.
He is hands on and learns a lot work
ing with his dad. He enjoys reading to Ryker at bedtime.

Ryker is working on crawling. He is also learning to eat some foods. So far he's had rice cereal, carrots, and peas. He readily accepts new foods, so hopefully he won't be picky.
He loves to giggle and smile, everyone likes to comment on how happy he is.

I'll try my best to keep the blog updated with the happenings in our lives and keep it loaded with pictures!
