Ryker loves to get dressed up and go outside. Sometimes he's dressed appropriately and other times he is not. Have a look.

Tonka Truck

Ryker got a Tonka truck for Christmas and even though that was months ago he still plays with it daily. He uses it to transport all of his other toys from his bed room to the living room and back. He also helps me put cloths away with it, he uses it as a stepping stool to turn lights on and off, he even pushes Stavia around in it. I know that is probably not what the toy was designed for and some would say that I am being TOO trusting to let him use it in such dangerous ways. However, I like to encourage his imagination so most of the time I just supervise and don't make him stop doing these terribly dangerous activities, afterall, what is insurance for?

Don't worry, they are very gentle with their little sister.

Plus it makes her giggle like crazy!

In the middle of winter you need something to do indoors and you've got to get creative!

My Single Iota Of Creativity

Ryker recently decided to become a fan of super heros. The irony is that the only two super heros he's heard of are Super Grover and Larry Boy...not really the super heros that first pop into my mind but that's ok. Anyway, he has taken to regularly referring to himself at Super Ryker. Well in a moment of weakness I decided to take on a project that is not typical of me. I made Ryker a "super Ryker cape." Now I hope that Stavia doesn't get jealous that her mom once handmade something for her brother and she will probably never get a handmade gift from me...but we'll see, maybe I'll suffer one more moment of stupidity in my life and try to be creative again. Here is my creation:

Stavia's Steps

Stavia is learning to walk. She can get about 5-7 steps in before she falls or gives up. I'm pretty proud of her. Here is a little video demostration she did yesterday. It was her idea of course...

The search is over!

Okay, call me a major geek but I have been looking for a car for two months now. I consulted Consumer Reports and read up on stuff on the internet and everything...it was a tedious search. I test drove several vehicles over the past several weeks. But, yesterday Jed and I FINALLY said yes to one. This morning I picked up my "new" vehicle. It's orange, a lot of orange but I like it. I think it's pretty eccentric and I like it. Anyway, I am posting a couple of pictures...tell me what you think!

Stavia's Favortive Pastime

My daughter LOVES to eat. She will eat anything you put in front of her. Well, that was until last night... we went out for pizza and I put a piece of cheese in her mouth. She spit it back out into her hand and played around with it for a while. I tried to get it back in her mouth and she just kept turning away like she was a food snob or something. It was pretty funny considering she loves to eat cheese slices when we are at home. Trust me this will not become a regular occurance. My kids will not be picky eaters, that is one of my biggest pet peeves!
