Dress up!

Both of our kids LOVE to dress up! One day Ryker decided to dress up like Stavia...

There aren't really words for this.

Homemade Pizza!

I'm a fan of The Pioneer Woman. I'm not a crazy fanatic like some people...not that that's a bad thing. I just like her recipes and her sense of humor and her taste in clothes and the fact that she makes living on a ranch look like fun and not boring/too much work and I like that she homeschools her kids and still loves her husband and...ok maybe I am a crazy fan. Oops!

I'm not addicted enough to check her blog very often. But when I do I always find something yummy to try. I found this recipe for pizza crust a while ago and decided to try it. We had a bunch of different specialty cheeses around the house around the holidays and this was the perfect way to finish them up!
We had some odd combos. This one was tomato sauce, italian sausage, green olives and smoked gouda.

Olive oil, garlic, ground turkey, feta and cheddar (I think)

Ham, tomato sauce, green olives, smoked gouda.

We did some odd combos but they turned out good. If nothing else, at least our kids are getting use to exploring new foods!

Snow day!

Justys was able to come to our house for a couple hours right before Christmas so all three kids (and dad) were able to play in the snow together! It was good to have a little bit of time with him. We hadn't seen him since August! He is getting so big and responsible! After Christmas he stayed with us for a couple of days until his step-dad was deployed and they had to rush back to the army base... But some time is always better than no time!

Party after the concert!

Even though Ryker did not participate in the concert we still decided to celebrate. I'm not really into bribing my kids to do things but we decided that because so many kids would be affected if Ryker decided to be distracting during the concert that we should probably give him incentive to remain calm on stage. We told him that he could pick any restaurant for lunch if he went up on stage with his classmates and stayed up there like he was suppose to. Well, he obeyed and chose to eat lunch at Arby's. Ryker LOVES mustaches (read: moo-stash) and tries to make one with whatever resources are available to him. This time the resource was curly fries. The entire family joined in on the fun! Here are the results!
Stavia had a hands-free moo-stash!

Blogging

I'm going to take a stab at blogging again....

I have lots of catching up to do!
I am starting way back before Christmas. Ryker had a Christmas concert for preschool. He loves to dress up and look handsome! He practiced all the songs at home a lot but when it came time to go on stage he decided performing wasn't for him. He stood on stage the whole time without expression. Didn't sing a single note. Just stared into space... Oh well, maybe next year...
